About the opportunity
We are seeking to appoint an Administration Officer - Tasmanian Data Linkage Unit (TDLU) at the Menzies Institute for Medical Research (Menzies), part of UTAS Health.
Menzies is one of Australia’s leading health and medical research institutes. Menzies exists to improve human health and wellbeing by performing excellent basic, clinical and population health research that focuses on the major diseases affecting the Tasmanian community. Taking a disease prevention approach, our research is aimed at improving patient care and clinical outcomes for the community by translating knowledge and clinical actions.
Located within Menzies, the TDLU is a node of the Population Health Research Network (PHRN) providing data linkage services for Tasmania and working collaboratively with other nodes in supporting research activities across Australia using high quality linked data.
What you’ll do:
- In conjunction with the Senior Client Services Officer - TDLU, provide timely and high-quality customer service.
- Prepare correspondence and documents in relation to data linkage projects.
- Be responsible for organising and scheduling events and meetings.
- Maintain and update the TDLU website.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of the TDLU’s application and data linkage processes.
What we’re looking for:
- Demonstrated administrative skills and experience with a range of software applications.
- Experience working in customer focused roles with a range of stakeholder groups.
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
- Exceptional organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Experience working with health data (desirable but not essential).
Salary details
Appointment to this role will be at HEO 4 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $91,488 comprising base salary within the range of $73,814 to $78,195 plus 17% superannuation.
