An exciting opportunity is available for a Grants Coordinator to join the Grants and Major Bids Department at Australia’s pre-eminent biomedical research institute.
About the Position
The Grants Coordinator supports the effective delivery of grant management services within Grants and Major Bids (GMB). The role focuses on operational coordination, data management, reporting support, and administration of processes from grant outcome to close, to ensure compliance and high-quality service delivery.
Working closely with the Manager, Grant Management, the Coordinator plays a key role in maintaining accurate records, tracking grant obligations, and supporting researchers and stakeholders through efficient and responsive service.
The Grants Coordinator plays a critical role in communications regarding grants. They will oversee the triage of service requests from both internal and external stakeholders through a range of communication channels, to ensure timely and expert service. They will also prepare and deliver communications on behalf of Grants and Major Bids and deliver these through internal communications channels.
Selection Criteria
Essential Knowledge and Skills:
Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent experience and/or training
Experience in research administration or grant management
Familiarity with research funding processes or compliance requirements
Personal Qualities:
Strong organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Effective communication and stakeholder service skills
Proficiency in data management and systems
Terms of Appointment
This position is ongoing in a full time capacity. Salary is Professional Services Employee Level 6 ($97,990 - $106,069). Very attractive salary packaging options are available for general living expenses, meal entertainment, novated leasing and more. 12% superannuation payable, plus up to a further 5% after the first 6 months of service via our matching superannuation scheme.
